OUR TEAM
It's mostly just us, Eppie (the designer) and Niamh (the copywriter and marketing person). Our dog, Gracie, usually joins us too but she needs to brush up on her digital skills so we're not charging for her time. Yet.
We're married (to each other) and we joined forces professionally after working well on a few projects together. So, we're a very small team - personal and flexible. We will also bring in vetted, freelance experts to work on our projects if we need them!
We can work with you end-to-end across your digital marketing projects. From designing a simple website that you can update yourself to building and managing your entire digital presence.
We love to travel and we work from anywhere and our clients are scattered across the globe. We love an early meeting in your timezone!
Our aim is to be your flexible and trusted partner and we tend to take a consultative approach which starts with a deep dive to understand you and your business. We like to get to know you early to help you define your direction, identify possibilities and assess capacity - but we're adaptable.
We're not coders, programmers or UX experts, although we will always come at projects and work from the users perspective. And, you can always expect us to be honest about what we can deliver and when we'll deliver it.
We don't want to bore you but there's a bit more on our backgrounds below for those of you that want to dig a little deeper.
A BIT MORE ON US
(for those of you that have made it this far)
Eppie has a degree in architecture and a Masters in Fine Art (photography). She brings a strong creative and visual foundation to the work we do with you. She actually ended up running some great pubs and restaurants for years before starting to build (see what we did there?) on her love of design by creating websites in 2020 (during the first lockdown) and she never looked back! She also loves a bit of logo design and can spend hours looking at typefaces. The gorgeous photography on our homepage is hers.
Niamh has degrees in marketing and psychology. She's worked in senior marketing and communications roles in the publishing industry and in Government (policy and strategy too) for over 20 years. She's fascinated by people and their behaviour, and we think that's what makes her good at the SEO and marketing side of this biz. She wants to get underneath your audience and where you want to get to (and we want to get you there, of course)!
Together, we love to eat, travel, experience new stuff and chat. We're open-minded, we're proud to be part of the LGBTQI+ community and we also like cold beer and exercise - but almost never in that order, unless the 'shopping trolley' on a dance floor counts. If you're not ok with any of that, or you're running an unethical business, we're probably not the team for you. We sincerely hope that we are though!
Why did we call ourselves Rock House Marketing? We’re defo at risk of sounding a little twee here but this is the (short) story anyway…. In early 2024, we left the UK and our successful careers behind us to combine our strengths and start something entirely new somewhere entirely new. We put our nerves behind us (change can be scary) and went for it. So, we bought a small house in the heart of a mountainous Andalucían village in Spain - a house built largely on rock. Not only is our little house now also our office but, to us, it represents strength, resilience and foundations of our move and our new business. Our new roots if you like. So there you have it!
